And as requests have already come in – there will also be cinnamon buns on Wednesday. Almost thought I’d get away with a week without them! £1.25/ea as usual.
Not just for Halloween

Halloween is coming
And with the witching/harvest season in mind, I’ve been having fun making mini pumpkin rolls. Shaped like miniature pumpkins, the dough is enriched with home grown pumpkin and just a touch of maple syrup.
These will be available at the Producers’ Market tomorrow at the Kilchoan Community Centre (11am -2pm) along with variety of other bread. Hope to see you there.
Bread fit for a king (hopefully)
I’ll be back at Kilchoan Producers’ Market tomorrow with various types of bread including a new sourdough created from a starter I picked up on my travels.
We came across the brilliant King Arthur Flour bakery & cafe in Vermont and only the limitations of baggage allowance stopped me in their great shop. I did manage to eat my own body weight in baked goods though. Their sourdough starter goes back over a century and is so far proving very lively.
The market is on from 11am to 2pm in the Kilchoan Community Centre. Hope to see you then.
